UTM parameters are text strings you can attach to a URL to allow google to track the ad clicks and reach, making it easy to track your marketing campaign. utm_source which identifies traffic source, utm_medium which tracks a newsletter for example, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term, all of which provide the full spectrum of tracking parameters.
